Leftists who never gave a shit about Valerie Plame
I feel like starting an organization called Leftists Who Never Gave a Shit About Valerie Plame. I never cared, because exposing CIA agents is not a crime but a public service. I admit (or rather, boast) that I don't know all the ins-and-outs of this story, nor do I fully understand why it's supposed to have been resolved in Bush's favor. I could understand if I cared to read all about the facts -- but I don't care. It sure as hell doesn't change the facts about the imperialist war of aggression in Iraq. That's the real issue, and it's inescapable.

Esteemed Nelson! Maybe we should do it this way: whoever wants to sign up can do so by posting a comment at this very blog entry, with a link to your own blog if it exists. We'll be going on the honor system, so you have to be honest with us and with yourself: you must have never really given a shit about Valerie Plame, ever. This will be a "let a hundred flowers bloom" thing, so folks with whom I have had severe political disagreements are welcome (Trotskyites and McMaoists, I'm talking to you!).
Once we have enough members, I will update this blog post, with links, and then we will have ourselves an organization. There have probably been at least half a dozen Trotskyite "internationals" that have formed in precisely this same way!
