Hugo speaks to the USA

If you read nothing else today, you'll still want to read Hugo Chavez's interview with Time. There's an interesting bit that I'd not heard before, to the effect that at the time he was released from prison he believed in Tony Blair's "third way." The rest of the interview is worth reading too, though. Chavez is something of an autodidact when it comes to political thought and theory, but he is a very smart one.

I'm delighted to hear a US voice not calling Mr Chavez the devil and so forth.
But reason I am here is that I am hoping you are the same John Lacny who in 2000 seem to express some interest in the plight of West Papua.

I have been working on this issue for some years and have coverted http://fandom.net to a West Papua Information Kit. You will find information I have dug up and about a call for the UN to resume its decolonization obligation I have been trying to move forward this year.

If you could do anything to help inform the US and world about West Papua, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much,
AJohnson.
